LEGO is preparing a small revolution with the Smart Brick, a connected brick capable of adding sounds, lights, and intelligent reactions to builds, without a screen or app. At first glance, it looks like a classic LEGO brick. But inside, it integrates motion sensors, a processor, a speaker, and a wireless rechargeable battery. As a result, builds can react in real time according to movements, the minifigures used, or the elements assembled. This brick is part of a new ecosystem called Smart Play, which allows LEGO sets to interact with each other intuitively. For example, a spaceship can produce sound effects when moved or change its behavior depending on the minifigure placed on board. LEGO's objective is clear: to enrich physical play without relying on screens, while stimulating the imagination. The first compatible sets are expected as early as March 2026, particularly in the Star Wars universe. A promising innovation that could well mark the biggest evolution for LEGO in decades.
